Looking for healthy smoothie recipes? These four smoothie recipes are both healthy and delicious – perfect for starting the day off right!

One of my biggest goals for the rest of the year is to start making better choices when it comes to eating. And one of the ways that I’m doing that is by trying to eat more fruits and veggies on a daily basis. And one easy way to do that is with a breakfast smoothie.

But I’m one of those people who can’t eat the same thing over and over again even if it’s just a smoothie. So I came up with four completely different healthy smoothie recipes that are super easy to make, taste great, and you could really enjoy these once a week and never get bored!



You could also turn any of these smoothie recipes into a smoothie bowl as well – just pour the smoothie into a bowl and combine with fresh fruit, granola, etc.

Notes About These Healthy Smoothie Recipes

A couple of quick things before I get to the smoothie recipes.

All of these recipes include honey as a sweetener. I like my smoothies sweet – if you don’t like them sweet, feel free to omit the honey or lessen it. I typically use raw all natural honey because I prefer it over fake sweeteners like Stevia, etc.

I use this Vitamix for my recipes to get the smoothies incredibly smooth. If you’re not using a high-powered blender, you’ll want to blend these a bit longer than the three minutes mentioned in the recipe.

All of these recipes also include protein rich Vital Proteins Collagen of some kind. We always have collagen on hand because it’s a quick and easy way to add healthy protein to pretty much anything. I’ve used it in bread recipes, soups, drinks, and all of these other ways to use collagen peptides in the past year.

I specifically chose the collagen flavors that worked best with these recipes but you could totally go with the unflavored collagen peptides as well!

Healthy Smoothie Recipes

I’ll go ahead and put all four recipes in the recipe card at the bottom of the post and just quickly explain what’s in each of them right now and how to make them, although the making process is really a piece of cake. You put things in a blender and blend. Done and done.

Each of the smoothie recipes has just a few ingredients that you can just keep on hand all the time. And honestly, you can mix and match as much as you want – these are just four of my favorite combinations.

Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie Recipe

Honestly this might be my favorite out of the four or maybe it’s a toss-up between this and the piña colada smoothie. They’re both sweet with a hint of sour and a great refreshing way to wake up in the morning.

Black Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

Notice that I said black chocolate and not dark chocolate. This smoothie recipe is a combination of dark chocolate + blackberry, and the combination is dangerously good. If you really like your chocolate dark, you can increase the amount of cacao in the recipe. If not, stick with the minimum I put in.
