Hunger Games Games and Hunger Games Trivia

Three of the best Hunger Games games that are so easy to setup and almost free, including a great Hunger Games trivia printable game

Today is the last of my Hunger Games posts to celebrate the release of Mockingjay in a couple of weeks. The series started with four Hunger Games shirts , then Hunger Games party ideas , and I’m finishing it up with three awesome Hunger Games Party Games that I’ve created just for you!

May the Odds Be Ever In Your Favor Game

Supplies Needed:

  • Large jar – I made a Hunger Games inspired jar just like my vase by cutting out the famous “May the odds be ever in your favor” quote in white indoor vinyl from Expressions Vinyl and attaching it to one of my apothecary jars.
  • Pens
  • Small white slips of paper

Play:
You can play this game in one of two ways.

  1. As your guests arrive, have them write their name on one slip of paper and put it in the jar. After your guests have all arrived, begin your “reaping.” Every 10-15 minutes, depending on how long your party goes, pull a name out of the jar. Whoever’s name gets selected is out. The final name left in the jar wins a prize.
  2. Fill the jar with all blank slips of folded paper except for one that has the name Katniss Everdeen written on it. As your party continues, have your guests pass the jar around taking turns pulling slips from the jar. Whoever pulls the Katniss slips wins a prize.

Stay Alive Party Game

Supplies:

  • A bunch of gold colored items such as a Mockingjay pin, bracelet, necklace, etc. You will want one per person.
  • Piece of poster board with words written on it that you normally use in conversations about Hunger Games – Katniss, Mockingjay, Hunger, Games, movie, Jennifer Lawrence, etc.

Play:
As guests arrive, tell them each to take one gold item from the pile and to read the list of words on the poster board. The way the game works is that if someone gets caught by someone else saying one of the words on the list, they have to put their gold item back on the tray, and they’re “dead.” The last person to have their gold item is the final survivor and wins a prize.

Real or Not Real Hunger Games Trivia Game

Supplies:

  • Pens
  • Free printable real or not real trivia printouts for all of your guests
  • One copy of the real or not real trivia answers for you to tell your guests the answers

Play:
This is the easiest of the three games. Give everyone a pen and a real or not real paper, and tell them to try to guess whether each of the statements is real or not real (aka true or false). For any not real answers, they can also attempt to guess the real answer for one bonus point. The person with the most points (correct answer = 1 point, bonus answer = 1 point) wins a prize.
