Creative Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him

Because my anniversary is on December 28th, we almost never celebrate like we should. This year, since my husband and I really didn’t do anything for our anniversary, I decided to come up with seven creative Valentine’s Day gifts for him to represent the seven years that we’ve been married. And of course, I couldn’t just give him his gifts because that would be boring. So instead, I came up with a fun and creative Valentine’s Day game that I call the Valentine’s Day quest.

Remember these cute washi tape hearts I posted about on Monday? Well I used them!

I wrapped up seven presents, wrote challenges (e.g., tell me the first placed we kissed) on the back of those hearts, and attached the hearts to the presents as gift tags.

You can download the full list of challenges I used to print yourself or you can just use them as an example. Instead of just giving him the gifts and asking him to complete the challenges before opening the gifts, I hid the gifts throughout the house (kind of like an easter egg hunt) in places that represented things that he loves. Here are just a couple of my “hiding” places.

Sticking to my theme of things that he loves, here are the seven places I hid gifts and what was in them. You could easily switch these up to come up with great Valentine’s Day gifts for him, any him in your life.

Pantry – Dark chocolate bacon bark
Workout Room – New armband
TV Room – 1st Season of Person of Interest
By Our Amore Sign (that he painted) – A bunch of paints and brushes
Oven – Gift Certificate to a nice restaurant nearby
K’s Room – Framed family pictures that he can take to work
Our Bed – No comment

In order to come up with your own creative Valentine’s Day gift for him this year, just think of all of the things that he loves most and center your gift or gifts around that. So if he loves food, recreate his favorite meal ever. Or switch it around and give him gifts centered around things you love about him and his little quirks like giving him a waterproof speaker for the shower so at least he’s singing to something. If you use either of those ideas, I know he’ll love it.
