gift ideas for husbands 30th birthday

A couple of weeks ago I started the BMS 60 day challenge that encompasses healthy eating, exercise, spiritual exercise like scripture study and prayer, and random acts of kindness. The idea behind it is to really focus on getting your entire self healthier, and so far, I love it. There are some things about it that I find difficult and one of those is getting enough protein. I never have problems with eating all of my fruits and veggies but making sure that I’m also getting protein into my daily diet is a little tougher for me seeing as I’m not a huge meat fan.

One of the ways that I’ve tricked myself into getting more protein is by adding AllWhites Egg Whites into my daily smoothie . I drink a green smoothie almost every day either in the morning when I wake up or as a post-workout snack at night. Since everything is all combined together, it’s just like drinking my regular smoothie but with a boost. No eating meat + getting protein = a happy and healthier me.

This mint green smoothie recipe is packed full of leafy greens, green fruits, and protein in one delicious smoothie recipe! AllWhites Egg Whites are perfect for smoothies because they’re 100% liquid with no yolks and are a lean source of protein (fat-free and cholesterol free!) you can easily have in the fridge at pretty much all times. If you’re not a smoothie person, they can easily be used as an alternative for recipes that call for eggs.

I saw this green glow power punch recipe on the AllWhites website and thought it would be fun to change it slightly to replace the cucumbers with green apples since I’m not a big fan of cucumber. The apple adds a nice tartness and frothiness to the smoothie that I’m not sure you’ll get with the cucumber, but you should definitely try it out both ways to see which one you prefer!

Making the smoothie is easy. Grab one green apple, one kiwi, a cup of baby spinach leaves, 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice, 1/4 cup mint, 1/2 cup AllWhites Egg Whites, and some ice. Chop up your spinach and fruits slightly to help out the blender, or leave them whole if you have a super duper blender like me. Mix it all together in the blender until well blended and either drink immediately or let chill if you prefer a really cold smoothie. It’s a simple recipe and a simple way to reach your goals of eating plenty of fruits, veggies, and protein every day!
